Geneva

Off to expensive Geneva.
A castle next to the train tracks betwen Turin and Geneva.

A sculpture somewhere in Geneva. I really like the way the motorcycles are parked to either side.

Looking up the Rhone at the Jet D'eau. For some reason, I took about fifty pictures of the Jet D'eau. My friend Mike made his own by running over a fire hydrant.

The great Philosopher, Jean Jacques Rousseau. He's hidden away on a little island in Rhone. Nice spot though.

Left, Top, and Bottom:
Stained glass windows found in the Cathedrale St. Pierre.

Left:Another stained glass window. What the hell does IHS mean?
Right:A clocktower... would have been a nice shot without the annoyingly ubiquitous guy-wires.

Typical street in Geneva. Note the wrote iron lamps, cobblestones.

Tomb found in the Cathedrale St. Pierre.

Left: Mosaic found on a random wall. Bottom: Dragon fountain.

Left: Clock tower.
Right: The Jet D'eau at night. Beautiful.

Waterfront from the bridge.

A monument near the Art History Museum.

Left: A fifth century roman baptistry found underneath the Cathedrale St. Pierre.
Right: Geneva Skyline.

Yet another postcard shot of the Jet D'Eau.

Left: Dome part of cathedral roof.
Right: Another view of the Jet D'Eau.

Another stupid jet D'Eau postcard. I really have to delete these in the camera sooner. And maybe think about not taking so many Freudian pictures. The trouble is, you feel bad about just deleting a good shot, even if it is the eigth or ninth image of the same thing.

Ominous-looking spire.

Steph, in a steeple, next to the goddamned Jet D'Eau.

Top: Swan bum. Dabbling for whatever in the Rhone.
Left: Calvin's Chair. Suitably roped off so you can't sit in it. Just like that nasty baster Calvin.
Bottom: My girlfriend Steph. Actually just her head.

Tomb of the Duke Of Brunswick. Ugly thing.

Funky public sculpture.

Door.

Stephanie on the waterfront. Our feet hurt a lot.

On our last night in Geneva, we wandered around on our sore feet. This is a picture of the big historic mill in the center of the Rhone right after it leaves the lake. Enchanted spot.
