Lost Coast

These are pictures from our long-weekend trip to the Lost Coast, a beautiful, relatively untravelled section of the California coast.

The silhouette appealed to me.

Waves crashing into rocks.

View from the hiking trail. Much struggle over a nasty dirt road is required to get here, then you can walk for 60 miles clear of any human habitation. Good hiking, but very hilly.

Another view from the hiking path.

Steph on the hiking trail.

Another shot of Steph on the hiking trail.

I sure do take a lot of pictures of Steph, huh?

Another nice shot up the coast.

Big Tree in a town having seemingly no other purpose in life.

We called him 'Lorenzo'.

Profile shot shows off his best side.

Newborn calf, arrived the morning after we did.

Kinda Wobbly, arntcha?

Another waves + rocks scene.

My second-favorite... I like how the reflection turned out.

Personal favorite from this series - seeing the waves through the hole in the rock is really neat.
